What A Privilege

What a privilege it is to be here and see the effect Rafiki is having on these children's lives. In my third grade class, we are learning to write friendly letters. They could write to whomever they wanted. Here is one of the letters:

Dear Mommy and Daddy, (This is what they call the director and his wife.)

How are you doing? Thank you for bringing me to Rafiki. I am very thankful when you brought me to Rafiki Village. I am thankful because I have a home, a place to eat, a place to put on clothes, and a place to sleep. I praise God for having the decision of bringing children to Rafiki.

This little boy's letter touched my heart. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of what is going on here in Uganda - I appreciate all of your support and prayers! These children are a blessing!

Isn't God just so great that He allows us to be a part of His work in others? I LOVE it! I'm so glad that you are getting the chance to watch HIM front and center as He loves on His kids!

Thanks for sharing, what a touching story and what a reality check for us westerners whose main worry is which DVD to pick on Friday nights.
