Beyond Blessed

Aside from being slightly warm, this weekend was beautiful weather! We had sunny blue skies and a nice breeze that helped to cool things down - especially in the shade. Yesterday, I met up with two teachers from our school to see one of their newly built houses. It was so different from a newly built house in the states. In fact, he has only finished one small section of it (which is where he is living) until he gets enough money to complete the rest. After we chatted for a while, we went out to help him in his garden (I will have to try to take pictures of his place some other time).

When I got home, I took my work outside and sat under a tree to continue to enjoy the beauty of the day. These pictures do not quite do justice to the day I experienced, but they are an attempt to give you a glimpse. I am so thankful for the place God has brought me this year - it is a beautiful place - and not just in the physical sense. I have learned so much and truly feel blessed beyond words!

Dre, Ditto what Steph and Jess said. Pts see our Rafiki pictures in the reception room and ask about you and our trip. I tell them that God had a lot of reasons for bringing you to Africa. One of them was to make it so I had to go in order to see you. Thank you so much for being such a faithful servant, and in the process, giving me a much larger view of our God. I love you and will see you in 7 weeks, but who's counting, Dad
