Today, in the class I was subbing in, we were discussing the story of Moses going before Pharoah. I asked these first graders to tell me what they already knew of the story. We were talking about how God's people were in slavery. Then, one of the boys so proudly chimed in, "They were slaves of the Philippines." Philippines=Philistines=Egyptians - he had the right idea. I miss hearing these comments on a daily basis!
