The Change

Sorry about the delay in updates. I am still here in Uganda. I've been struggling with staying connected as our internet capabilities are usually limited to an hour or two when we come in town on the weekends.

However, I wanted to continue my blogs on some of the changes in the children since they've arrived at Rafiki. These are pictures of Moses. He arrived here in February and was a very skeptical little guy (as you can see from the first picture). Our directors thought that he would always be a little boy that was angry at the world. As you can see from the last two pictures, that is so not true! It is an amazing difference! He is still pretty hesitant around new people - I think he is afraid someone is going to take him away. It takes some children a while to realize they are safe and secure here. I'm so thankful for this little guy. It is a joy to hear his squeaky voice say, "Hello Teacher." He is one who has stolen my heart - maybe he will take yours as well.

(Thanks Sara for this great photo.)
