Lately, I've tried to consciously pay attention to the sights and sounds around me. The birds I hear chirping from my living room or the gorgeous sunrises I can see from my kitchen are truly amazing. Tonight, it was the sound of children laughing that caught my attention. After dinner, I was pushing some girls on the swings. They all know how to "pump" their legs, but they gladly let me do the work for them and giggled every time I would send them soaring in the air. Most of the time, they even purposely stopped themselves so I would do it again. Then, as they were swinging, they started singing. Their precious little voices melted me. Their first song choice surprised me, it was "Jesus! What a Friend for Sinners!" They know more verses of this hymn than I do! Then, they sang "Jesus Loves the Little Children" - which was the song we taught them in GAMES. You can't help but put a smile on your face when you hear these sweet girls laughing, smiling, and praising Jesus with all of their hearts.

Dear Andrea,
That is wonderful that they learn so many of the verses to hymns... the words of the songs will minister to their spirits over and over. How neat that you take such joy in being with them, your love is so evident to them!! Much love, Nancy.
I wonder if they sang your ending or my ending to Jesus Loves the Little Children!!!
Sara
Andrea, this post made me smile and cry all at the same time. After reading this and your post about the littleboy running along side of you...I can totally picture what that is like for you. I would give anything to be back there and experience that...I just love those people/children. Love you and thinking of you always.
