The Pearl of Africa

Being outside draws me closer to God. I love admiring His creation. I am especially enjoying the gorgeous weather Florida is currently experiencing. It got me wondering what the weather will be like in Kampala, Uganda (where I will be in less than 3 months!).

I was a little nervous when I looked on a map and saw that it was sitting almost exactly on the equator. However, as I talked with some of the missionaries at the village, they said due to the fact that Kampala sits a mile high and on Lake Victoria, it feels like spring-time weather all year round. Sure enough, when I checked today's weather in Kampala, it said it feels like 70 degrees. I was told I would agree with Sir Winston Churchill who called Uganda "the pearl of Africa." I am excited to give you my own perspective soon!
